The best communities aren't just places to talk. They're places where people find each other, create together, and build real relationships.

This month, we're shipping a member map, a built-in video recorder, annual installment billing, and several upgrades to Email Hub.

Let's take a look.

Member map

You can now browse an interactive map in your member directory that shows where your community is located. Members with a city or region set in their profile appear on the map, making it simple to discover who's nearby.

What's included

Map view in the member directory adds a new tab that displays members based on the location in their profile. City, region, or country-level precision is all supported.

Grouped locations cluster members who share the same area, like London or New York, into a single point with a count. Click to open the filtered member directory and browse the full list.

Privacy by default means only members who are visible on the member directory and have a location set will appear. No exact addresses are shown. General location only. Members can remove their location or opt out of the directory entirely if they prefer not to appear.

The member map is available on web and desktop to all communities regardless of plan.

Video recorder

You can now create video screen recordings directly from Circle. Camera, screen, or both at the same time. Preview the result and publish without leaving the post or message you're working on.

What's included

Video clips for posts, comments, and courses. Use the slash command or camera button in the toolbar to start recording. In courses, you'll see a new "Record video clip" option where you upload featured media in Lessons.

Camera + screen recording lets you record your camera, your screen, or both simultaneously. Toggle your camera and microphone on or off during setup.

Up to 30 minutes per recording, long enough for full tutorials, course lessons, coaching responses, or detailed walkthroughs.

Delete or re-record without leaving the view. When you're happy with the result, preview it before publishing.

Built on Circle's video infrastructure. Recorded clips automatically get AI transcripts, chapters, and transcoding, just like any uploaded video. Edit the thumbnail, trim the clip, and share. Recordings are added to your total storage usage in the Media Manager.

Open to both members and admins. Recording follows your existing "Allow members to upload media" setting (Settings > General), so if member uploads are disabled, recording clips will be hidden too.

Available now on web for all customers. Rollout starts today. Mobile and Circle desktop app support coming soon.

Other improvements

Email Hub improvements:

  • Workflow triggers for email opens and clicks: You can now trigger workflows based on whether someone opened a specific broadcast or workflow email, or clicked a specific link inside one. Choose which email triggers the workflow, and for clicks, which specific link within that email. This means you can follow up with members who clicked a sales link but didn't buy, tag members by interest based on the links they click, or re-engage members who haven't interacted with recent emails. Available now for all Email Hub customers.
  • Send from multiple addresses: You can now set up multiple "from" addresses within the same community and choose which one to use per broadcast or workflow email. Each address includes a sender name, username, and an optional reply-to. One is set as the default. The domain stays the same across all addresses. Available now for all Email Hub customers.
  • View email in browser: Emails sent from Email Hub now include a "View in browser" link in the footer. When clicked, the email opens in the recipient's browser with personalization intact. This helps when email clients don't render your message correctly. Available on all newly created or edited emails going forward.

Upsell improvements:

  • Customizable upsell pages: You now have full control over your upsell page. Customize the hero image, copy, countdown timer, media blocks, benefits, testimonials, and price callouts. Preview your page across devices before publishing.
  • Video support on upsell pages: Add video directly to your upsell page to make your pitch. Upload a video to the hero section and preview across devices before publishing.
  • Upsell analytics: See how your upsells are performing with views, conversions, conversion rate, and revenue lift, including both checkout revenue and lifetime revenue from upsell customers.
  • Upsell workflow triggers: Automate what happens after a checkout is completed or an upsell is accepted, declined, or abandoned. Use these together to see where members drop off in your purchase flow and follow up accordingly.

Account security improvements:

  • 2FA for members: Members can now enroll in two-factor authentication to protect their accounts. Once enabled, they'll verify their identity with a one-time passcode sent to their email each time they sign in.
  • View and revoke sessions: Admins and members can now view and revoke active sessions from the Authentication tab in their personal settings. If a session looks unfamiliar, they can end it immediately.
  • Suspicious login alerts: When a sign-in attempt looks unusual, the account holder receives an email notification so they can take action if it wasn't them. Coming soon.

More updates

  • Workflow search: You can now search by name across your workflows list and the template library, making it faster to find the right automation as your list grows.
  • Space and space group restoration: Admins can now restore deleted spaces and space groups directly from a new "Deleted" tab in Content > Spaces. All posts, comments, and members are restored with the space, and the parent space group is restored automatically if needed. Content is recoverable for up to 30 days. Applies to spaces and space groups only. Rolling out now.
  • Multi-year installment plans: You can now create paywalls where members pay the total cost in annual installments over multiple years. Useful for longer-term programs like multi-year coaching or certification tracks. Available now for all customers using Circle Payments.
  • Granular chat blocking: Admins now have separate controls for moderating posts and comments, disabling chat messaging in embedded rooms, and disabling direct messages. Each toggle works independently, so moderating a member's posts no longer affects their ability to chat, and vice versa.
  • Get your community listed on Discover, for free. Our team will build your listing page for you, putting your community in front of thousands of people looking for their next community to join. Submit here.
