With Analytics 3.0, our goal is to get even closer to building out a best-in-class analytics hub within Circle, and to give you complete access to your members, revenue, events, and device analytics in one place.

Circle is now available in Portuguese

We’re working on making Circle more globally accessible by rolling out support for other languages—starting with Portuguese!

Starting today, admins can choose to have the Circle interface displayed in Portuguese for new members in their community (existing members can opt to change their language by updating their profile page settings).

To switch your default community language to Portuguese, navigate to your community’s main dropdown menu and click on Settings. Go to General and use the Default language dropdown to select Portuguese.

For members who prefer English, they will be able to override the default language setting and have your community display in the language of their choice. Members will be able to adjust their language preferences on their profile page.

⭐ TIP: Before changing the default language in your community, you may want to give your members a heads up. Consider using workflows to send a bulk action message to your community informing them of this change and how they can make the change using their profile pages or keep their original language preference if desired. Learn more about Workflows here.

Note: Changing the default language setting to Portuguese only affects the Circle interface.  Translations will not apply to user generated content like posts, comments, attachments etc. The Circle mobile apps will automatically be translated when you set your language preference.

Paywalls support for Brazilian businesses and Pix integration

We’re excited to share that Brazilian-based communities can now charge for access using Circle paywalls! 🇧🇷

To start accepting payments, you’ll need to connect your existing Stripe account with Circle. Navigate to your community’s main dropdown menu and select Paywalls. When you click on the Connect with Stripe button, a dialog box will appear asking you to select the country your business is registered in.

Once you’ve selected your country, you’ll be directed to Stripe to either connect your existing account or create a new one.

Members purchasing paywalls in Brazilian Reals (BRL) will see a fully translated paywall checkout page to promote a seamless experience and support conversions.

🎉 Limited-time bonus offer: To make it even easier for Brazilian-based accounts to get started, we’re waiving Circle’s transaction fees for one year, starting from the time you connect your Stripe account with Circle (standard Stripe processing fees still apply). See below for eligibility requirements:

  • Your business must be registered in Brazil. Circle accounts must select “Brazil” as their business registration location during Circle paywall set up
  • Applies to all new or existing Brazilian-based merchant accounts on Stripe

Hurry, this offer ends on June 30, 2024 at 11:59pm ET.

⭐ TIP: If you’re on the Business Plan (annual) or higher, you have access to our concierge migration service. We’ve designed this done-for-you service to help you migrate your payments (and courses!) from other platforms into Circle with no cost or hassle to you. Find out more here.

Pix Integration

Brazilian merchants will now be able to accept Pix as a payment method using Circle paywalls.

Pix integration is currently in early access with Stripe. Once you’ve connected your Brazilian Stripe account with Circle, you’ll need to request access to the Pix payment method from the Stripe support team.

To help simplify this process, we’ve created step-by-step instructions, including sample copy to send to Stripe support, that you can conveniently access when you navigate to Paywalls > Settings in your community.

Once Stripe has enabled Pix, your members will be able to select it as an option at checkout.

Note: Pix integration is available exclusively to Brazilian merchant accounts. Your members can only select Pix as a payment option for one-time payments and single payments amounts between 0.50 BRL and 15,000 BRL.

A brand new Knowledge Base with our AI bot and Portuguese articles

We’ve revamped our Knowledge Base to make it even easier and faster to find the resources you need to build your community on Circle.

Not only do we have a sleek and intuitive UI, but we’ve also made it more user friendly by placing our AI-powered Circle help bot beside the topics list.

We’ve also started rolling out help articles in Portuguese. To switch the language to Portuguese, simply select it using the dropdown menu located at the top right hand corner of the page.

Note: Circle Bot is still learning — you may find that some responses are not yet completely accurate. Please bear with us and Circle bot as we continue to train it to answer your questions more effectively and efficiently.

Track your students’ course progress with more granularity

One of our most requested updates to courses is now live: admins can track their students’ lesson progress on their course dashboard.

You’ll be able to see which lessons your students complete and which ones they may have trouble with, so you can provide them with support.

To view lesson progress, navigate to your course space. Under Engagement, click on the progress bar of the student you’d like to track. This will open a Course progress modal with all the details of the student’s lesson progress.

Lesson settings

  • Require students to complete lessons in order: If enabled, your students will have to complete each lesson in order before moving onto the next one. To enable this feature, on the edit course modal, select Options and toggle on Lesson order reinforcement.

    • This is available across our web and mobile apps.
  • Auto-advance after video completion: If enabled, your students will automatically move to the next lesson after they complete a video. To enable this for your lessons with video content, click on Edit lesson. In the left hand sidebar under Settings, check the Auto advance after video box.

    • This is only available on web for now. Support for our mobile apps will be added by the end of April.

⭐ TIP: Have your courses hosted somewhere else? If you’re on our Business plan (annual) or higher, our team of experts will migrate your courses from your current platform at no cost to you. Learn more about our Concierge Migrations service here.

Workflows improvements

Trigger bulk action workflows from Manage members

You can now trigger bulk action workflows using the Manage members page, so you can easily filter and sort your target audience lists.

To create a bulk action workflow from the Members tab, navigate to your community’s main dropdown menu, then select Members > Manage members. On the Members tab, use the appropriate filters to create your target audience list.

We’ve also added the ability to filter by email contains/does not contain and is/is not conditional filters.

Once you’ve filtered your list, click on the Bulk actions dropdown and select your desired action. This will open the Workflows modal where you can complete any additional requirements.

Enable or disable direct messaging

To help you manage direct messaging privileges in your community, we’ve added the ability to enable or disable their ability to send and receive direct messages using new workflow action.

You can now select these actions when you set up an automated or bulk action workflow.

Other improvements

Link to chat messages: You can now link to messages in chat spaces and DMs by selecting Copy link from the ellipsis menu beside a message. If the message is shared to a member who does not have access to the space or DM it originated from, they will not be able to view the message.

ZAR currency support for paywalls: We’ve added support for payments using the South African Rand (ZAR).

Payment method displayed on paywall dashboard: On the Transactions page, you can now view which payment method your member’s used to purchase your paywalls.

Affiliate invitation emails: When you invite an affiliate into your affiliate program, they will get a personalized email with their invite link and commission details.

Paywall tax ID validation: Paywalls now provide some tax ID validation at checkout (ensures correct formatting rules per tax jurisdiction, i.e. correct length, country codes etc.) to help prevent invalid entries. Merchants will still need to rely on their Stripe dashboards to audit whether the tax ID entered is valid for the customer details provided. Learn more about Stripe tax IDs here.

Remove affiliate attribution: You can now remove an affiliate attribution from a referral by clicking on the ellipsis menu beside the transaction and selecting Manage affiliate attribution. A modal will open allowing you to remove the affiliate credited with the referral.
